A Board of Trustees govern the Dade County
Optometric Association. The Board of Trustees consists of trustees
plus these officers: President, President-Elect, Vice-President, Secretary,
Treasurer and Immediate Past President. It is empowered to conduct
DCOA business and meets every month to:
- Transact DCOA business.
- Establish DCOA policy.
In addition, DCOA Adjunct Board members advise the DCOA Board of Trustees
at these monthly meetings. The adjunct members consist of a Florida
Optometric Association representative, a NOVA College of Optometry Student
representative and a Dr. Bruce Heiken Memorial Fund representative.
